Kyle McEachern
Kyle McEachern is a youth from Kelowna, British Columbia. He is an actor, director, technician, and mental health advocate in his community. Many years of training and exposure have led him to where he is today as the Co-owner of The Fifth Wall: Theatre Company.
My Story
With nearly a decade of experience in theatrical performance, Kyle has been well-equipped for his work as a leader of The Fifth Wall: Theatre Company. Onstage, Kyle has performed in dozens of shows across Kelowna at various companies and has had extensive training in the theatrical arts. A handful of notable past onstage credits include: Harry Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Jack Kelly in Newsies, Richard Firmin in The Phantom of the Opera, and the Baker in Into the Woods. Among these, there have been many other roles in productions of Mamma Mia, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Les Misérables, and West Side Story, among others.
Behind the scenes, Kyle has worked as a Stage Manager, Assistant Teacher, Technician, Director, Lighting/Set Designer, and Technical Director for various jobs over the past number of years. Having spent over a year training under professional local technicians, Kyle has developed a high-level, in-depth understanding of the technical aspects of production. Kyle's work as a director and the technical director of an independent youth production of Into the Woods led him toward his path of owning his own theatre company.
Over the years, Kyle has been a witness to many of his peers experiencing struggles with mental health. He himself has had his own share of struggles. Through his work in various companies and with what he has witnessed, his passion for change is strong. Kyle strongly believes that youth mental health initiatives are seriously scarce and need to be enhanced greatly, and he wants to be a part of that change.
