Tayana Lyon

Tayana is so excited to be a part of The Fifth Wall: Theatre Company. Tayana has been delighted to be taking on the role of choreographer and can't wait to share her work. She is so grateful to be a part of such a unique and helpful team. Tayana is glad to join The Fifth Wall: Theatre Company for her last performances and is very thankful for this incredible opportunity to be onstage once more. 

Tayana has been dancing for over a decade and has multiple years of extensive and professional dance training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, hip hop, and tap. Tayana has completed her Royal Academy of Dance Examination for Grade 4 to Advanced Foundation Ballet with the award of Distinction. She has trained at Alberta Ballet to strengthen her skills and would like to give thanks to her studio; The Village Dance Academy, for all her years of elite training. You may have seen her dancing onstage at dance competitions, in conventions, in recitals, or even in The Wizard of Oz as Dorothy. 

This company’s main initiative is centred on a topic that is very Important to her and close to her heart. As someone who has had her share of struggles, youth mental health is something that should be addressed and have higher levels of support and attention in our community. As a part of The Fifth Wall Theatre Company, Tayana would like to take action and be a part of the constant development of mental health awareness in our community. Tayana wants you to know that you are never alone and that there are always people and resources here for you at all times.
